Template Promotions, Ideas, Tips, Inspiration and a Freebie

I chose a couple of diverse templates from this promotion to show you them in use and hopefully, inspire you to use templates as well.  You also get a treat for popping by the blog in the form of a free quick page.

Templates are a very handy tool.  They save a lot of time and are really great when your creative mojo isn’t kicking in. They are extremely easy to use and templates work in most scrapbooking software programs.  You can work very literally with a template or you can use it as a base and change it to suit your needs.

This is a template from Katydid Digital Scrap Art And Designs.  It’s the Stacked Backgrounds Layered Templates Pack #2.

I’m the kind of scrapper that’s all about the pictures and I love using large photos in my layouts.  These templates are all about that.  I a lot of my scrappy sisters swear they cannot cluster.  Templates can totally help with that.  Not good with balance or over all aesthetic?  No worries, templates are there to help.  Follow the basic shapes and layers of the elements in the template and your layout will be fantastic.  Here’s mine using Vero- The French Touch‘s new kit, Romantic Fall and Katydid’s template from above.  I used exactly the background paper layers as they are in the template and layered up some gorgeous elements, following the templates design.

Another template you can find in this promotion is this Project Life style template from LouCee Creations.  Project Life is all the rage and this template is perfect for showing off a lot of papers, elements and several photos of your treasured moments.  Go wild with journaling.  Get creative with your title.  There is so much freedom, yet guidance and direction with templates.

This layout is using LouCee’s template and a new kit from The Kit Cart Designs, Oct. 31.  It’s whimsical fun and totally festive.

The assortment of templates in this particular promotion is really great.  From basic square shapes like this one from Nibbles Scribbles to the more artistic, art journaling type like those from Heartstrings Scrap Art.  There is definitely something for everyone’s taste and style in this sale. If you are on a Creative Team, templates are essential.  Nothing makes filling in those requirements as easy as templates.

Here’s the template in action.  I used the Studio’s October Mega‘s, wonderful collection with a Halloween-esque kick.  Clip in those papers, photos and style up some clusters and you’re set.  This incredibly gorgeous Mega is currently 50% off, too.  Make sure you check it out and add it to your digital stash.

This is an example of Commercial Use templates that you can also find at a discount with this promotion.  These adorable penguins are from Manu Scraps.  Again, clip in your desired papers, paint over the templates and or add some textures or effects.  There is so much you can do with templates.  Take these little cuties and put them in a layout or think hybrid if you like getting some glue on your fingers.
