I adore this effect used in layouts, where the photo becomes the title, and the title becomes the focal point! This is a fun video tutorial I came across showing one (of many) ways to create an image filled title!

Hello! I’m Manda! I design digital scrapbooking products in a hobby turned career and I love every minute of it! I love coffee, chocolate, owls and wine. I am mom to 3 amazing boys who keep me super busy. We're a baseball and basketball family and always on the go. I scrap and design using Photoshop Elements on my MacBook. I have been a part of the digital scrapbooking world for 13+ years and am so grateful for the friendships formed through our amazing community!
This is a fun tutorial/technique. Thanks for sharing, Manda!
Thanks for the very easy tutorial. I’ll try it in PSE since it looks like that would work too.
I love having pictures in words! I am curious why he chose a resolution of 72 when he created his word document. I have PSE so can’t use the tracking he mentioned for spacing the letters – unless there is a PSE trick I haven’t heard of? I did play with his steps – I just had to put each letter on an individual layer and then I could move them around to change the spacing.
Thanks for passing on this tutorial, Manda.
Aaron uses 72dpi because he does a lot of web work. You wouldn’t use that resolution for printed layouts or other material. That said, he’s a great teacher and has lots of videos showing various techniques. Very worthwhile!
