Dear valued customers & community members,

With heavy hearts, we must announce that the Studio, our cherished online community, and shop, will be closing its doors effective 01 Feb 2025. Over the last 17+ years, we’ve created together in Studio events & challenges, shared our creations, learned many new skills & techniques, gotten to know each other well, and grown into a family.

Some Studio designers will retire, but many will continue to create stunning artwork at other online shops. You can find a list for reference in our forum.

From Toiny:

I  stared at my blank screen for days. In between I cried so many tears. It is the end of an era. It is time to say goodbye. After 17+ years the Studio is closing.

To close the Studio has been a very difficult decision, and one neither Angel nor I have taken lightly. It has been a possibility since I first got sick back in 2021. While my surgery has given me a lot of my life back, it is a different life than before. I have had to make many changes to my day-to-day life. More importantly, it has put a focus on how I want to live the rest of my life. And I want to live it out from behind my computer screen. I want to live amongst people, especially my family.

I could go on, but instead, I want to focus on what an absolute joy it has been to helm the Studio for so many years—almost two decades! I want to thank everyone who has made it possible, from our IT guy to our Admin Team, our Design Team, our Support Team, my Angel, and especially our loyal customers. I am going to miss you all with every fiber of my being.

One of the things that bothers me the most is that my original dream is dying. My hope had been to have a place for women to come, work, and support their families. A place where family could truly come first. I took over the helm of the Studio when Dane was still a newborn. I had finally found a job where I could nurse & work at the same time. It was liberating and exhilarating! Closing the doors of the Studio and taking this away from so many of our Designers hurts.

I do have plans for my future, unfortunately, they will no longer include digital scrapbooking. After 32 years in the Army, and 7 more as a government employee supporting the Army, Dave is finally looking at real retirement. This means it is finally our turn to truly do what we love, together. As we wrap up our time in Germany, Dave & I look forward to a future working side-by-side in a brick-and-mortar game store. I will be taking these next two years setting up the groundwork until we move back to America.

As always Angel will be at my side, helping my dreams come true. I heartily extend an invitation to each of you to keep in touch and know my door is always open. We had something beautiful in the Studio and I hope I can carry that over to real life, in a tangible store. Thank you all for giving me some of the happiest years of my life. It has been an honor to helm the Studio.

From Angel:

Like Toiny, I am SO sad to announce that the Studio will be closing. I’ve been with the Studio for over 14 years and over time, began assisting Toiny with creating the website and managing the day-to-day Studio life. We’ve been full partners for several years now, and I couldn’t ask for a better partner & friend over the years.

It has brought me so much joy to get to know both our designers and our customers. I’ve truly felt we are a long-distance family in many ways, and I am going to miss you So. Darn. Much. I hope you all continue to create in one way or another, whether it’s digital scrapbooking or not. Most of all, I hope your lives are happy and fulfilling. ❤

Art is and always has been a part of me. I will continue to freelance for my clients, and I am thrilled to announce that I will open a new online marketplace called Digital Artistry on 01 Feb 2025. You can sign up for the Digital Artistry newsletter to be notified about grand opening festivities. Digital Artistry will include an active online community as well as a shop supporting a wide variety of digital products.

We are immensely grateful for your support and enthusiasm throughout our journey, and we will carry these memories with us always. Thank you for being a part of the Studio family.

With heartfelt appreciation,
Toiny & Angel
