It’s time for Custom Collection Sundays. Yay! We are getting back on track after the holidays. Finally! We’ve got a fabulous new release and a new request has been chosen. Ready? Let’s dig in…
What is a Custom Collection Sundays? It is a chance for each of you to request a Custom Collection from one of our Designers. Every week one person wins their request.
On October 19 Rae won her request:
I would love to see a Autumn Rustic/Country Wedding Theme…. The colors are gorgeous and tying it in with items like burlap and lace and autumn flowers ( or autumn colors) would be gorgeous. You don’t see many kits with this theme and with my daughter and a few friends getting married with this theme… I would love to do some pages for them and create a memory book for them

This week I am back to picking a new Custom Collections Sunday winner! I very much appreciated the slightly less specific requests. It is easier to get those completed than once with complex, specific elements. Continue to ask me something fun! Ask me something in your favorite color! Or favorite colors! Request flowers, winter or love, and let’s see who I can make happy next. And go ahead & try with something a little more specific. I know there were some great ideas out there that can be fulfilled! Give it another go?
Some of my favorite requests last year:
Would love a kit that celebrates our kids achievements — big and small. No matter what age they are, they always amaze me with their ‘genius’. Whether it is learning to count, read, use the iPhone at 18 months (yes — normal now days!), stack blocks, build lego, do complicated Math that outfoxes the rest of us, paint an amazing picture… etc. Genius at work! As parents we are always so proud of our kids even for the silliest little things

I would love to see a really great New years eve/day kit. Something with the silver, sequins and sparkle. Perhaps with old Father time and the new years baby. Perhaps with some horns, hats and steamers. Maybe some fireworks or the ball dropping in times Square. Of course there would have to be cork popping bottle of champagne and a glass or two. happy 2015 everyone.

Sadly, I can only pick one winner. Our winner this week is: Joyce!
I absolutely adore the kit that was chosen and have already bought the whole collection!!!
And I also love the new one that was picked this week by Gloria.
I’m putting my order in again, though. Don’t they say 3rd time is a charm?
I would like to put in a new request. I’m thinking ahead a few months to Valentine’s Day, that special time between lovers. So, my request is a sweet but passionate kind of kit with pinks and reds and purples.from: Joyce
Joyce, WendyP Designs is already hard at work on your request! I’ve gotten a glimpse of the color palette and I’m in love. This will be a beautiful, timely collection for the Valentine holiday.
Very important note: I will post a new winner every week, however, please do not expect your Custom Collection to be ready within a week. Scrapbooking Collections take time, and that time varies by Designer. Some of our team are full-time designers, others are part-time. Some are new mommies with littles at home, and others are Grandmothers. Some of us are both.
I cannot wait to see the requests this week, please post away your biggest wishes in the comments below. Comments are open to everyone. New comments, and repeat comments are welcome. I will post a new winner next week, along with a new release & a sneak peek!
I would still love a wedding kit with a dark green in it, along with pastels like pink, apricot, and yellow. I’m still looking for a kit to scrap the photos from my daughter’s wedding, and I would love to enjoy the luxury of having a kit that includes ‘everything’ and having those colors coordinated!
My request this time around is for a kit celebrating newness, beginnings, springy, but with wordart for other beginnings in life. I like contrasty colors like blue and yellow, or soft orange and lavendar, coral pink and greens. I don’t care for blue pinks. I love some neutrals mixed in. Sprouting branches, seed packages, hopes and plans, some journal cards with planning themes for things to start, places to go, goals to achieve, taking time to dream.
I think a kit that deals with work- mostly Retail, but work and working in general. I’m sure most of us are working, or have worked, and probably have pictures from there…I know I do. Stocking shelves, moving fixtures, pricing, helping customers, and the really fun stuff, like parties in the break room for birthdays, baby showers, weddings, retirements…so many things that are related to working. I know I have so many shots taken at work…. 🙂
You have made me very happy by choosing my request for a Valentine’s Day kit!!!
Thank you very much.
I want to also say how how I love the new one, Burlap and Lace. Absolutely stunning.
I am sooo looking forward to seeing what Wendy comes up with; I know it is going to be fabulous!!
Hugs,
Joyce
I still would love a really glitzy New Years kit but now with all the terrible weather ( just about everywhere) I keep thinking about all of us older folks that are caught inside either from the weather or aches & pains. While I am fortunate to have my computer, there are magazines, catalogs, houseplants and of course housework to keep us occupied. Does this ring any bells for a kit?
I would love a very masculine kit. I have a son that races cars. A Ford & yes his surname is Holden 🙂 .I take lots of photos of the cars & him racing. I have been trying to make a photo album for him to show his mates but there is very little that is very male or to do with racing. If you could help that would be just fantastic.
Requesting this one again 🙂 Would love a kit that celebrates our kids achievements — big and small.
Not that I’m really interested in a kit like this or anything (wink, wink) but I thought I’d give this request another try. I know it’s quite specific, but this is the kit I would like to see…also, general requests don’t seem to be my kind of thing…lol.
“I love Japanese art forms and I would love to see a kit based on some these such as Embroidery, Kimono patterns, and porcelain ware. I would like to have the kit include some prints of the more modern Ukiyo-e paintings, particularly those by Hiroshige and Hokusai. Elements such as beautiful chopsticks, lacquerware pieces and such would be lovely as well, as would the traditional cherry blossoms, Buddas and dragons.”
Here is an example of traditional Japanese art which contains the most often used colors:

My husband and son are all about volleyball. My husband coaches the JH girls team and my son enjoys going to college men’s volleyball games. In fact, we are all going this Friday. I have never really found a kit that has much in it for this sport. I would love to have a kit dedicated to volleyball. Surely there are others out there who have kids playing volleyball or play themselves that would love scrapping their volleyball pictures…. I hope. 🙂
Thanks! (Love these Custom Collection Sundays. It’s fun to see what you choose and then see the kits that have been created to meet a special request. smile)
Love the Burlap & Lace collection. Carin did a wonderful job bringing this idea to life.
I would like to repeat a request from last year. I would love to see a modern sewing kit. Current style sewing machine, thread spools, scissors, rotary cutter (current tools), bobbins, a touch of quilting, pin cushions, embroidery, decorative stitches, fabric bolts, denim, lace, linen and tulle. I love the look of wire dress forms. Colors would probably be black & white along with current brighter colors – chartreuse, plum, dazzling blue, etc. Thanks for the chance to see a kit like this!
I would love to see an outdoor woodland type kit with variations of green, tan, brown etc. but with blend-able colors, not the bright garish colors that stand out to much. Backgrounds blended. Masks to blend photos into the background as well softening everything out. I haven’t seen a soft blend-able colored kit in a long while.
I found a nice soft hued palette I like on Design Seeds for a soft country woodland theme. There can be some variations in the green etc. or splashes of white flowers etc. I appreciate being given the chance to get a kit made. Thank you so much. Here is the site address for the palette colors. Foggy tones1 done on 12/8/14.
