Having a giggly teenager in the house, really two (Cole may be 18, but he is a giggle-puss), sometimes puts me in a giggly, teenager-y mood. Tess’ latest “thing” is her crush. She has at least six million of them. Some are at her school, some are in a band, some are on a show, or in a movie, and some are just walking down a random street and become “her crush” in Berlin or “her crush” in Stuttgart. And this makes perfect sense to me. She must be rubbing off on me. I have crushes too.
A lot of my crushes are on favorite foods & chefs. And quilts. And fabrics. And bands. And dudes in bands. But mostly, I have crushes on Digital Designers! This also makes perfect sense. I did pick the perfect job for me. Go me!
I’d like to try a new weekly feature: My Crush. We’ll attempt this every Monday, and it should be fun! Please post in the comments if you are interested in being a guest blogger about your Designer Crush! This will come with goodies. You should do this!
I have long been following the work of WendyP Designs. In the last year she has really found her groove and more & more I’ve found myself drooling over her pages on Facebook & in our gallery. She does an amazing job of keeping up with her busy family (she has three beautiful young children) and chronicling their daily lives.
I not only love her style, she is the Queen of Pocket Scrapping, but she also journals. She writes wonderful little notes about the small, everyday things her kids do & say. To me, this is one of the best ways to scrapbook and remember those precious, goes-by-at-lightening-speed, early years. These are some of my favorite layouts she’s created:
She has several new releases, the dark, dreary days before Spring have kept her inside & busy designing (YAY for me!) and out of all her new releases, Hip Hip Hooray is my favorite! I asked Wendy for two favors.
- Could I please scrap with Hip Hip Hooray?
- Could she make me a template so I could scrap just like her?
She said yes to both! YAY! I have to say, I loved scrapping a bunch of photo’s and journaling on one page. What a great way to remember one day forever:
You too can scrap like this! Wendy is sharing her fantabulous pocket scrapping template I used, and I’ve turned my layout using Hip Hip Hooray into a quickpage for you (minus my photo’s & journaling, of course)! You can download both in one fell swoop:
Totally love this idea! And I also have a crush on WendyP 😉 She somehow manages to bring out kits JUST at the exact time that I need them. The teeth kit just after Sam lost his first tooth, the Africa kit just after we had been to Kruger National Park, birthday kit just after Miya’s birthday… It felt like she could read my mind!
Thanks so much for the great template and the layouts are inspirational =)
Thank you very much for this template. I have never tried a pocket template before but am so excited to try this one with the loads of photos I have of my little granddaughter at her ballet classes. Sometimes I have as many as 15 to 20 for just one day at her ballet class and there are many days like that. After seeing your layouts here I thought this template would be perfect. Thanks so much.
They are perfect! I always take a ton of pictures and pocket scrapping is a very good solution for me for the kids albums. Let me know how it goes Carol?
Thanks for the lovely gift, I enjoyed reading about your Crush…I adore Wendy’s Wild Wild West kit that I purchased! Appreciate all the inspiration too. Hugs to all!
