Today’s post is short & sweet, but my feelings are full & overflowing! You’d think this would be another wedding post, because let’s face it the wedding is in 12 days! But no, this is post about friendship. A wonderful, deep, soulmate kind of friendship that started right here at the Studio.

Most of you know that the Studio used to be Stone Accents Studio and owned by Julie O. I took it over 10 years ago, and shortly after changed the name to better reflect who we are. And most of you know that before I became the owner, I was a Designer under the name of Piggyscraps Designs. In fact, I was one of the winners of the annual Next Designer Contest in 2007.

It was during that contest that I first met Sherah. Sherah was also a Designer. She supported, encouraged, and gave me helpful tips. She held my hand when I bought the site and stayed by my side during the whole transition. Owning a big site like the Studio is not easy! But with friends anything is possible and Sherah was an amazing friend to me.

We quickly bonded over more than just scrapbooking. We both love big families. Cooking. Gardening. Sewing. God. Some people are just your people. Sherah is my people. Family. Over the years, even after she left the Studio to focus on her growing family, we emailed, Skyped, chatted and leaned on each other. But we never met. There was an ocean between us. Until this week.

This week, this past Sunday, I drove from North Carolina to West Virginia and held Sherah in my arms! For really real reals. I felt home. Happy. Loved.

Friendship is everything.

All of Sherah’s four & my three youngest. Together. Finally!

Sherah’s in-law cabin, down the hill from her house. Completely, totally, authentic & adorable! I’d live here in a heartbeat.

Sherah’s Lincoln

Goats! One is snowflake. I forgot the rest.

I wanted to be their friend. They said “nope”.

Chickens! We had fresh eggs!

Ginger! Got just at sunset. How romantic

Sherah’s hubby putting fly guard on Ginger. He is as warm & fabulous as Sherah!

Sing with me… three of these things belong together, three of these things are kind of them same! But one of these things doesn’t belong here, one is not the same! (Cole loved being fed by Sherah!)
