Earlier this month I introduced Custom Collection Sundays. A chance for each of you to request a Custom Collection from one of our Designers. Every week one person wins their request. Last week Andie won her own Custom Collection by ADB Designs.
I might be a “second request” again… LOL! I would like to see an “adult-themed” Pharmacy kit. It could also double as a Chemistry kit or a Science kit, or even a Doctor’s kit. I would like to see the “Rx” symbol that pharmacists use and some molecular models. An occasional “exploding experiment” would probably fit too. White lab coats, beakers and test tubes, Bunsen burners, periodic table, bottles filled with different pills, written out prescriptions… etc.
“WA” could include “drawings” of the molecular structures on a chalk board… Ideally, it would have “heritagey” colors with a touch of white and light blue. Thanks for the chance!

Diane, ADB Designs, is hard at work with a beautiful, soft, vintage palette. I’m bursting with excitement to see this one come to life. I will share it here in this space soon!
This week we have another win, congratulations Stash Empress! You win your request of a Rainbow Loom-inspired collection by A-Manda Creations! I know Amanda was super excited to hear of your request and is almost done already! Congrats!
Well – lets see if third time’s the charm?
I’d love to see a collection devoted to the Rainbow Loom/rubber band craze! My daughter (and grandkids too) have been very involved with this new craft & have made all kinds of amazing things, not just bracelets, but all kinds of cute objects. PLEASE!!!???!!!!from: Stash Empress
I have to say, it was very hard picking a winner every week. We have some fabulous requests! I can imagine allthese kits coming to life. I wish I had a magic wand:
I would love a kit based on old Iran. The Isfahan Bazaar, Persian miniatures, Isfahani cloths, carpets, brass and copper, caravans, spices, old fashion polo, Ali Qapu, Persepolis, Omar Khayyam poetry. I used to live there and the bazaar in Isfahan was like stepping back in time. Thanks Dana

My husband coaches Middle School Volleyball at our small school. I like to make things for the girls – bookmarks, badges (for Mom), collages, etc. I have not yet found a really good kit dedicated to volleyball. I’d like to see a kit that could be used for kids’ volleyball and for adult teams as well. Maybe there are others who would enjoy a kit for volleyball.
Thanks!

Congratulations to the winners! Absolutely love Boo’s “Autumn Sonnet.” What an awesome complete works for “Autumn Sonnet”–definitely a must have for me. A great big thank you to Elaina for suggesting this.
Now on to what I would like to see. I would very much like to see a kit that depicts our journey of faith in our Christian walk. It would be nice if it included our first hearing about Jesus when so young and later as young adults deciding this is the way we want to go, then the highs when we feel the Holy Spirit so close to our spirit (almost like a honeymoon experience); when the “honeymoon” experience later becomes the day-to-day walk with our Lord with the ups and downs; those days of our occasional doubting (like doubting St. Thomas in the scriptures); the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus; lots of word art. Anything Christian would be so great to have. Many of us have our own stories to tell. Not sure what colors to suggest (the very talented designers are much better at color co-oridination than I could ever be). Yellow for me is my happy color and blue is my peaceful and serene color. Those two colors are probably my favorite colors.

I can only pick one a week, but don’t give up! There are many weeks in a year, next week it could be YOU!
Very important note: I will post a new winner every week, however, please do not expect your Custom Collection to be ready within a week. Scrapbooking Collections take time, and that time varies by Designer. Some of our team are full-time designers, others are part-time. Some are new mommies with littles at home, and others are Grandmothers. Some of us are both.
I cannot wait to see the requests this week, please post away your biggest wishes in the comments below. You can post the same request this week, or mix it up with a new request. Comments are open to everyone. I will post a new winner next week!
I have never seen a kit about the sport of lacrosse. It is a growing sport in the US, but not very well known. My son played high school lacrosse. His school colors were black, gold and white. A template for a jersey and helmet that could be customized to any school colors would be cool. The equipment used – lacrosse stick, helmet, playing field, word-art (player positions e.g. midfielder, slogan – “Lacrosse: The Fastest game on two feet”, LAX) Both boys and girls play this sport. Speed is a big part of the game – something that shows action. Thank you for the opportunity to put this idea out! This is such a unique opportunity.
I have not seen a realistic, POSITIVE kit about the many ways those of us who are disabled strive to stay physically -and- mentally fit. I’m not just talking about the Para-Olympics, but other things as well. My right foot has painful problems that make it very hard to walk. (My body doesn’t tolerate pain meds) Two small strokes made me a bit disoriented. Under my desk is a little pedal/cycle machine that I’m using right now- a gift from my daughter and son-in-law. Next to my apartment are the winding lobby stairs, and I walk down and back up those stairs at least once a day. Also, at the urging of my neurologist, I do puzzles, sudoku, etc., read a lot of ebooks (so many free ebooks are available), and of course, digital scrapbooking, genealogy, and more. Most of us know at least one person who is disabled, and it would be interesting to see how others cope, also.
My husband is rebuilding a 1967 Chevy Chevelle. I would love to put together a progressive scrapbook that shows the rebuild as a surprise for him. A kit that contains classic cars and/or mechanical items…plus the emphasis could be on cruise night…a big time car event we love to go to…thanks!
I know I already won and I hope I am not being “greedy” with more requests/suggestions…
Steph, Lacrosse is pretty popular in my neck of the woods… I think it is a great way for athletes to earn scholarships. I also recently saw an article in the paper about Stick Sisters — the mentoring of junior lacrosse players by the senior players on the team.
I’d like to repeat my request/suggestion for a girl Elf on the Shelf kit. Christmas colors with the girl elf in different poses. And a pretty outfit or two…
Thank you for the chance!! 🙂
New idea: Girl Scout kit. From Daisies to Brownies to Juniors…and all the way up the chain. Leadership, respect, team work, and can’t forget those cookie sales… The different-shaped badges today offer lots of creative opportunities.
Thank you!!
Wow Andie! Fantastic idea for those who have Girl Scouts in their family.
Toiny, is there a place to submit CU ideas?
At the Monterey Bay Aquarium, there is a super cool “projector” in the jellyfish area that turns you into a kaleidoscope image. It makes for a really interesting family portrait (provided no one walks between you and the wall the image is on…). I think this would be a great idea for another addictive action… 🙂
Thank you so much for letting me voice so many of my ideas!!
Hugs!
*Andie*
Not officially, but I will share this with our CU team. Great ideas Andie!
Here in Australia – Spring has sprung and the end of the schooling year is drawing to a close with granduations and school formals to prepare for. I would love to see a kit full of elegance and class (I’m not suggesting that kits aren’t this already)!! But I would love to see shimmering satin & silk, lace, sprinklings of beautiful cut diamonds, strings of pearls, champagne & bubbles, grandma’s cameo brooch, silver photo frames. A future full of hopes and dreams … Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Sounds like you’re describing anything by Valentina, WendyP & Vero!
That’s why I can’t stop myself from buy all their kits!
😉
Would be neat if such a kit could include — Every year DuckTape has a contest for the best prom formal wear in most of the continental US and a most of Canada (excluding Province of Quebec). The winners get nice scholarships, and the schools that have the proms also get money. This year’s Second Place Winner wears a formal that looks exactly like something Valentina would design. http://www.duckbrand.com/promotions/stuck-at-prom/detail/2014/505
Forgot to say all of the formal wear has to be made entirely out of duck tape, even the jewelry, purses and shoes.
Scrapping for the Middle School volleyball team. It’s hard to find volleyball in the midst of soccer / football season. I would love to see a kit for girls’ volleyball.
Being a lover of all things halloween, I would love to see a kit with a cute skeleton family, Dad, Mom, boy and girl but also skeletons of a dog, cat and mouse. Little grungy accessories would be great, too. Spooky scene pages like a grave yard, interior shots of an old house, spooky woods, etc. A few creepy and happy ghosts would be fun, also. Would like to see the arms and legs that could be positioned (like paper-dolls), but that may be too much to ask for. I can dream can’t I?
If I can’t have a “skelly bone family” kit, how about just a paper-doll kit of skeleton people so we can move their heads, bodies, legs and arms to fit the scene we’d like to put them in. Not regular looking skeletons though but character looking ones, like maybe larger heads and eye sockets, cute.
I would like to see something with a sewing/quilting theme, quilts, vintage sewing machine, threads, etc.
Thank you.
There is no one kit in the store at present which contains all the elements you want, but there are three which each contain some of the elements. I will list them below for you in case you are interested and don’t want to wait. Btw, you can get the image of a vintage sewing machine at the Graphics Fairy (just Google it). Hope this helps. 🙂

I have them already except for the Vintage Sewing one, but thanks!
Maybe I can’t ask for the sewing/quilting as there are some already in the store.
I will have to come up with something else.
Hoping for kits for any of my grandchildren’s off-the-grid activities – tap dancing, cross country, wrestling ,karate, rugby and cello. I sure wish they’d chosen some of the activities that match the activities in scrapbooking kits
I would love to have a Scottish kit for all my pics! TY for the chance to win.
You folks are FANTASTIC!!! I have been away from digital scrapping for a few years and am just getting back to it. This idea of taking suggestions for kit ideas is the best I can imagine. I owned a brick and mortar store for a while and I had lots of requests for things we never found. This really works for me. I wish you tons of luck with your store.
Congratulations Stash Empress!!! Can’t wait to see this colorful kit hit the store!
[…] theStudio, received a request from Andie for a “custom collection” in response to her blog post. Here is what she […]
OK, another try for me. CONGRATS Stash Empress!! You are all coming up with some great kit ideas.
Well, I LOVE Africa! I love the beautiful animals and the jungles and all that good stuff. My bucket list contains a safari–although it will probably never happen. So I would like to see a kit about Africa—especially the animals. One of my favorite web sites is called Africam.com. Its in real time and you can actually watch the animals in their own environment.
I second the idea from Carol above with the suggestion for journey of faith. I would like to expand on her idea and would love to see kit include images of saints, apostles and/or early martyrs. Word art could include some of the more well known quotes from saints and Christian writers. Images of sacred places would also be awesome. Thanks for opportunity to throw in my two cents worth. Your designers are all so talented.
Kathy
I would love to see a Autumn Rustic/Country Wedding Theme…. The colors are gorgeous and tying it in with items like burlap and lace and autumn flowers ( or autumn colors) would be gorgeous.
I know my grandchildren are doing unusual activities – hence no scrapbook kits, but I would love a kit about any of the following; tap dancing, cello, karate, wrestling, rugby, cross country.
I’m reposting this as I would really love a kit based on old Persia. The Isfahan Bazaar, Persian miniatures, Isfahani cloths, persian carpets, brass and copper, caravans, spices, old fashion polo, Ali Qapu, Persepolis, Omar Khayyam poetry. I used to live there and the bazaar in Isfahan was like stepping back in time. Thanks Dana
