It’s time for Custom Collection Sundays. My sincere apologies for last week. The holidays overwhelm me. Both with happiness and harried-ness! But! We have some fabulous kits pouring out thanks to your requests. Wooooooohooooooo!
What is a Custom Collection Sundays? It is a chance for each of you to request a Custom Collection from one of our Designers. Every week one person wins their request.
On September 28 Gail Wilde won her request for a POSITIVE collection specifically for people with disabilities by Nibbles Skribbles and me:
I have not seen a realistic, POSITIVE kit about the many ways those of us who are disabled strive to stay physically -and- mentally fit. I’m not just talking about the Para-Olympics, but other things as well. My right foot has painful problems that make it very hard to walk. (My body doesn’t tolerate pain meds) Two small strokes made me a bit disoriented. Under my desk is a little pedal/cycle machine that I’m using right now- a gift from my daughter and son-in-law. Next to my apartment are the winding lobby stairs, and I walk down and back up those stairs at least once a day. Also, at the urging of my neurologist, I do puzzles, sudoku, etc., read a lot of ebooks (so many free ebooks are available), and of course, digital scrapbooking, genealogy, and more. Most of us know at least one person who is disabled, and it would be interesting to see how others cope, also.

Sadly it’s not time for my favorite part of every week… picking a new Custom Collections Sunday winner! I need some more comments to choose from, and, honestly, I need some slightly less specific requests as well. A kit on only wrestling, for example, is turning out to be too difficult a request. So ask me something fun! Ask me something in your favorite color! Or favorite colors! Request flowers, winter or love, and let’s see who I can make happy next. And go ahead & try with something a little more specific. I know there were some great ideas out there that can be fulfilled! Give it another go?
I cannot wait to see the requests this week, please post away your biggest wishes in the comments below. Comments are open to everyone. New comments, and repeat comments are welcome. I will post a new winner next week, along with a new release & a sneak peek!
What a beautiful kit!
I would like to put in a new request. I’m thinking ahead a few months to Valentine’s Day, that special time between lovers. So, my request is a sweet but passionate kind of kit with pinks and reds and purples.
Thank you,
Hugs,
Joyce
Thank you so much for creating this amazing collection! And a special thanks for giving it to me for free.
You’re right about thinking positive being about more than disabilities, too. Girl Scouts think positive to sell more cookies, for instance.
Hoping for a kit for tap dance or wrestling or karate. Thanks for considering these wishes
I love Japanese art forms and I would love to see a kit based on some these such as Embroidery, Kimono patterns, and porcelain ware. I would like to have the kit include some prints of the more modern Ukiyo-e paintings, particularly those by Hiroshige and Hokusai. Elements such as beautiful chopsticks, lacquerware pieces and such would be lovely as well, as would the traditional cherry blossoms, Buddahs and dragons. The kit could be done in the traditional Japanese colors. Here’s a link for more info on those (there are many other resources too 🙂 ).

I love 50’s kitchen – with Kromex canasters, alumium utensils/measure cups. Blue Ginham, appliance covers/drapes.
I would like to see a kit which could be used for vintage memories, heretige, etc.
There are not very many with colors which catch your attention and not just brown and tan.
I would like to see something with parchment, teal and burgundy – vintage but pleasing to the eye.
I’d like to see a black/grey/white kit with just one accent color (various shades of that color) – glamorous with a touch of silver glitter. I see this as being formal/traditional rather than quirky and fun.
I like the “glamorous” request!
How about with Parisian Pink or Magnificent Magenta?
Congratulations Gail. “Think Positive” is beautiful.
I won the “Winter Story” that is so beautiful too. Hope I can actually get it–been waiting and waiting.
It takes quite a while to create a complex kit. The longer it takes, the better it is! I’m waiting on some photos from a friend to create a page or two with this.
Carol,
Check your regular email. If you do not see an email there from theStudio or Toiny, check your spam folder. You should have gotten an email with a coupon code.
Enjoy!!! I hope you have an awesome time scrapping with it!
“Warm Hugs!!”

Thanks Andie. I have checked my e-mail spam folder many times since I first read in the Nov. 18 Studio NL re: Custom Collection Sunday: Winter Story that the Winter Story was complete and to check my e-mail. Have sent e-mails to Jamie (Kit Cart) and to Toiny re: not receiving it. Still waiting. It really is a beautiful one too. Loved seeing it in Studio NL and in Kit Cart’s NL. Don’t know why I haven’t been able to get it.Wasn’t able to use it for my little granddaughter’s birthday party invitations like I had hoped to do. Her birthday was Dec. 6.
Sorry if this shows up multiple times…I seem to be having issues with CAPTCHA again…
How about a Red Hat Society Collection??
I would love a kit that I could use to scrap travel photos from Utah. The colors in Utah are phenomenal… shades of red, brown, beige, grey, peach, pink… Add in the vivid blue sky, and variations of green vegetation. Gorgeous! I’m not sure if this is a “bad” thing for me to do – here are some links to my blog with photos from Utah, to give an idea.

Thank you for the consideration.
Girl Scouts…
Gail, thanks for the idea that Think Positive could be used for Girl Scouts! Now I need some brown to go with Brownies… 🙂
Girl Elf on the Shelf…
I would love to see an outdoor woodland type kit with variations of green, tan, brown etc. but with blend-able colors, not the bright garish colors that stand out to much. Backgrounds blended. Masks to blend photos into the background as well softening everything out. I haven’t seen a soft blend-able colored kit in a long while.
