As scrappers, I think we are all font hoarders. Every font could be perfect for a title or for some journaling, and there are so many awesome free fonts out there! But, there is a type of font you may not have thought about, and that is the Dingbat font. You know, fonts that are actually little pictures….
Dingbats make great additions to our scrapping and memory keeping. Use them to create a little element for your page. Add a style to them to make them pop (like glitter that comes with most of our Monthly Mega Kits), put a stroke on them to make them look like a sticker or layer them onto journal card or within your journaling. You can see some fun styles applied to dingbats in the title image above.
Here are a few fun Dingbat fonts I found, all of them are free for personal use (check the terms before using for any other reason).
So, there you have a handful of fun dingbat fonts. You can easily find more by searching “dingbat” on any font website. Please always read the TOU before using them in your projects! If you try using some in your layouts, or if you have – please share in the comments!

PS: The icons in the title image are from the fonts listed above. I applied a stroke to the heart to make it appear like a sticker, the glasses have a glitter style as well as a gloss style applied, the owl has a chipboard effect and the camera has a glitter and a stroke. These are just a few of the ways you can enhance your dingbats! Find TONS of styles in the store!
Dingbats are versatile and so much fun! Thanks for this post and the links, Manda!
