Today’s post is short & sweet, but my feelings are full & overflowing! You’d think this would be another wedding post, because let’s face it the wedding is in 12 days! But no, this is post about friendship. A wonderful, deep, soulmate kind of friendship that started right here at the Studio.
Most of you know that the Studio used to be Stone Accents Studio and owned by Julie O. I took it over 10 years ago, and shortly after changed the name to better reflect who we are. And most of you know that before I became the owner, I was a Designer under the name of Piggyscraps Designs. In fact, I was one of the winners of the annual Next Designer Contest in 2007.
It was during that contest that I first met Sherah. Sherah was also a Designer. She supported, encouraged, and gave me helpful tips. She held my hand when I bought the site and stayed by my side during the whole transition. Owning a big site like the Studio is not easy! But with friends anything is possible and Sherah was an amazing friend to me.
We quickly bonded over more than just scrapbooking. We both love big families. Cooking. Gardening. Sewing. God. Some people are just your people. Sherah is my people. Family. Over the years, even after she left the Studio to focus on her growing family, we emailed, Skyped, chatted and leaned on each other. But we never met. There was an ocean between us. Until this week.
This week, this past Sunday, I drove from North Carolina to West Virginia and held Sherah in my arms! For really real reals. I felt home. Happy. Loved.
Friendship is everything.
I,too, felt the friendship of Sherah and still to this day have some of her kits on my computer; along with some from Piggyscraps lolololo –Boys Toys, Anemona, and Tuscan sunset .I bet you don’t even remember designing those kits .Ten years ago you said Stone Accents became DigitalScrapbooking Studio Wow ! Time does fly . I also have kits by other Studio designers on my computer ( EHD’S) Terrell, Kimberkatt, Mystebelle, Ambowife,Digitreats and Candesigns. It was a wonderful time for digiscrapbooking.
HUGS! I remember a few of those awesome kits from Piggyscraps! Lolololol! Isn’t it wild how time flies?! Wow, thank you for the years of support you’ve given to the digital scrapbooking community! I love how truly like a family it is! I’ve not even seen some of those names in years and when you mentioned them I felt a pang of fondness for each one of those fabulous people!
Toiny!! This made me cry!!! ???? (I didn’t see it until now because I’ve been putting together stuff for my parent’s 50th anniversary and helping my friends move into their new home) I’m so sad it wasn’t a much longer visit! I absolutely loved every minute of it! You and your family are even more wonderful in person than I could have imagined! I love ya my amazing friend! Until we meet again Big Hugs and Smooches! ?
