Earlier this month I introducted Custom Collection Sundays. A chance for each of you to request a Custom Collection from one of our Designers. Every week one person wins their request. Last week we had our first Custom Collection WINNER! Congratulations Elaina!
I would love to see a piano themed collection which included sheet music, music symbols and notes, different piano elements (baby grand, upright, keyboard) and piano and music themed wordart quotes.

This week we already have our very first Custom Collection in the store. Our very own Boo, Booland Designs, worked triple time to make Elaina’s dreams come true. Introducing the first Custom Collection: Autumn Sonnet
Elaina has received both the Autumn Sonnet The Complete Works, including the lovely page kit, and the Autumn Sonnet One Step Beyond oversized mini FREE!
I talked to Boo, and she has given me permission to hand out an additional 10% off coupon code for all our blog readers. Use coupon code: AUTUMNSONNET10 at checkout.
This coupon is for Autumn Sonnet The Complete Works; Autumn Sonnet One Step Beyond and the Autumn Sonnet Page Kit. Coupon expires September 30, 2014.
Note: our shopping cart allows the use of only coupon per purchase.
Now it’s time to pick another winner! I loooooooooove picking winners! You made it very hard for me this week. Several of you requested collections I would love to see as well.
My wish is: Mountain Vacation: trees and forests (not autumn), lakes, rivers, gardens (peonies, hydrangeas, marigolds, roses, begonias, pansies), starry nights, maybe camping, travel to and from. Palette would be strong blues and greens, with some pink, rose, yellow-orange, and purple thrown in. Hazy landscape papers.
from:
I would like to see a collection on old toys, board games, dolls, etc. Also things like jump ropes, anything vintage that has to do with indoors or outdoors games. Word art would be fantastic, also. and some vintage papers with old rymes. Old children’s books, coloring and comic books. paper dolls and the list could go on and on.
Thanks for the chance to put in my 2 cents worth!!from:
I might be a “second request” again… LOL! I would like to see an “adult-themed” Pharmacy kit. It could also double as a Chemistry kit or a Science kit, or even a Doctor’s kit. I would like to see the “Rx” symbol that pharmacists use and some molecular models. An occasional “exploding experiment” would probably fit too. White lab coats, beakers and test tubes, Bunsen burners, periodic table, bottles filled with different pills, written out prescriptions… etc.
“WA” could include “drawings” of the molecular structures on a chalk board… Ideally, it would have “heritagey” colors with a touch of white and light blue. Thanks for the chance!

And the winner is… Andie! Congratulations Andie! Our very own Diane, ADB Designs, has taken on the challenge & is already deep in the creative process. Please check your email (that you used to register on our blog) for a note with the details from me.
Very important note: I will post a new winner every week, however, please do not expect your Custom Collection to be ready within a week. Scrapbooking Collections take time, and that time varies by Designer. Some of our team are full-time designers, others are part-time. Some are new mommies with littles at home, and others are Grandmothers. Some of us are both.
I cannot wait to see the requests this week, please post away your biggest wishes in the comments below. As Andie proved, you can post the same request this week, or mix it up with a new request. Comments are open to everyone. I will post a new winner next week, and if not a new collection maybe a little sneak peek from Diane!
Congrats to the winner, Andie!! I can’t wait to see her kit created by Diane!!
Hugs,
Joyce
Beautiful Collection, Boo! Well done! I’m certain Diane’s will be awesome too! Can’t wait to see it!

Well – lets see if third time’s the charm?
I’d love to see a collection devoted to the Rainbow Loom/rubber band craze! My daughter (and grandkids too) have been very involved with this new craft & have made all kinds of amazing things, not just bracelets, but all kinds of cute objects. PLEASE!!!???!!!!
I would love to see a kit about making, and flying kites all across the globe. There are contests all over the world for making, and successfully flying kites, and many of the kites are extraordinary.
Thanks for the chance to put in my 2 cents worth!!
Hope it’s ok to put in two requests. My second one is for a pioneer type kit depicting old pots and pottery used back in the day. also, papers of landscapes showing how it used to look back then. People dressed in the costumes of the times as well as horses, mules, buffalo and various animals of the west. You get the picture. Lots of natures colors, as well as blues and greens. It would be wonderful if there were children of that era.
Thanks,
Hugs,
Joyce
My husband coaches Middle School Volleyball at our small school. I like to make things for the girls – bookmarks, badges (for Mom), collages, etc. I have not yet found a really good kit dedicated to volleyball. I’d like to see a kit that could be used for kids’ volleyball and for adult teams as well. Maybe there are others who would enjoy a kit for volleyball.
Thanks!
-Patti
Wow! Thank you so much!! 🙂
I can not wait to see what Diane creates!! The color palette is wonderful and the blue is perfect!
Boo did an awesome job on Autumn Sonnet!!
I love the ideas posted so far!
I was so not expecting to have my idea selected last week that I came up with another kit idea:
I would love to see a kit on the Girl “Elf on the Shelf.” Manda created a kit that can be used for the boy. I would love to see one for the girl. There are so many neat ideas on how to hide and pose these elves on the internet. I would love to see a kit with “multiple poses” available.
Thank you again, Toiny for picking my idea last week!
Thank you for giving us this neat opportunity!!
I LOOOOVVVVE theStudio!! 🙂
First of all I would like to thank Toiny for holding this wonderful competition and giving us the opportunity to not only win, but to help bring in some new and wonderful ideas. Secondly, I want to thank Boo for doing such a spectacular and speedy job on the kit I suggested. This will be used primarily for me to scrap pages for my husband who is a piano player. We both love the colors you chose Boo, and the kit is gorgeous.
Finally, I would like to congratulate Andie for being the next winner. I know your kit is going to be wonderful and am excited to see it when it arrives.
Elaina
(aka Nightshadow)
You are so welcome Elaina. It was a pleasure to work on this for you and your hubby. Enjoy 🙂
Joyce Swaim suggested a kit based on old toys…I don’t know if we’re allowed to vote but if we are I think that’s a splendid idea, especially vintage toys and paper dolls too. I used to love paper dolls. 🙂
This is such an awesome idea. I would love a kit that has the theme of ‘At the airport’. So not really the usual general travel theme. But the airport with planes/trucks/stairs/baggage/runway/air traffic control tower/man holding the batons that direct the plains (whatever they are called!)/tickets/passport/baggage tickets/coffee/magazines. It could just be a smaller kit.
Thanks Bryony (foxinsocks)
I would love a kit based on old Iran. The Isfahan Bazaar, Persian miniatures, Isfahani cloths, carpets, brass and copper, caravans, spices, old fashion polo, Ali Qapu, Persepolis, Omar Khayyam poetry. I used to live there and the bazaar in Isfahan was like stepping back in time. Thanks Dana
This is awesome! Congrats to the winners this month! I would like to see a drama (theater) collection to include acting, singing, dance. For the colors I would like purple in the color palette. Thank you, Diane (DSSDiane)
WOW, just found this!! Of course, only being able to get on line a few hours a week doesn’t help! Hummm-a custom kit–lets see. I know there are vintage kits out there and I love them all! But am still waiting to see one from the Art Nouveau period. When I was in college for interior design, this was my favorite period. I love the furniture, accessories, colors, wallpapers, etc. I love my kits very realistic—actual pieces of furniture, art objects, etc. I love grungy kits, the kind that you can do scrapbooking or art journaing with. Thanks so much!!
Congrats ladies!
I will have to think on what I would like to see for a Custom Collection!
So many thoughts running thru my mind, lol.
Congratulations to the winners! Absolutely love Boo’s “Autumn Sonnet.” What an awesome complete works for “Autumn Sonnet”–definitely a must have for me. A great big thank you to Elaina for suggesting this.
Now on to what I would like to see. I would very much like to see a kit that depicts our journey of faith in our Christian walk. It would be nice if it included our first hearing about Jesus when so young and later as young adults deciding this is the way we want to go, then the highs when we feel the Holy Spirit so close to our spirit (almost like a honeymoon experience); when the “honeymoon” experience later becomes the day-to-day walk with our Lord with the ups and downs; those days of our occasional doubting (like doubting St. Thomas in the scriptures); the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus; lots of word art. Anything Christian would be so great to have. Many of us have our own stories to tell. Not sure what colors to suggest (the very talented designers are much better at color co-oridination than I could ever be). Yellow for me is my happy color and blue is my peaceful and serene color. Those two colors are probably my favorite colors.
I love the idea that we can suggest themes for kits!! Getting it free is even better. Thank you Toiny and Designers for making this offer.
My dream kit would be Homesteading. The people of 100 years ago (or more) who left their homelands and came to the new world, to start a new life. This would be to honour my grandparents, who came to northern Alberta, Canada in the 20s. They got a piece of land to farm, but had to cut it out of the wilderness. Sort of Little House on the Prairie, but more of the outdoors, farming side, instead of the kids, being the focus. All the colors of nature; green, blue and the gold of ripe wheat. Wild and farm animals would be good. The hay wagon, barn and gardening implements would make it perfect. I would like it to be real looking, or watercolour, but not grungy or cartoon. I know!! Asking a lot!!
I would love a sewing or quilting kit, with vintage sewing stuff.
Thank you for a chance to win and I love Boo’s Autumn Sonnet!!
Wow, what a wonderful opportunity to request a themed kit. Great ones requested so far.
I lived in Egypt for several years and have lots of photos from that time. I would love to see a kit with Pharaonic images and temples, pyramids, caravans, Baladi dancers, hieroglyphics, bazaars, reeds, palm trees, desert or sand, and papyrus. The colors could be tan, brown, green, turquoise, gold, black. Would even like a few silhouettes of perhaps a caravan or pyramids. I prefer a realistic style – not cartoonish – as this would be for adult or travel photos.
I think this is a FABULOUS idea! I was a f before I knew – fell in love with the Autumn Sonnet collection, purchased it earlier this month 🙂
I would love to see a professional business set geared around white collar, management/project style work. Would be extra sweet if it had work from home aspects to it – this is such a growing area in so many industries. I actually scrapbook about my work travel, awards, recognition and such – it’s important to me that my kids understand the importance of what I do, and why I would choose to travel away from them. They love looking at these LOs that I’ve done!
Sorry – colors and style – would love a more realistic style (done so fabulously by the designers here!), black, white, cream, grey – damask, and great textures, a bit classy and elegant, with a touch of ‘tongue in cheek’ – attending teleconferences in your pajamas, hitting the elliptical or treadmills with the headset on, reading reports in the stands at the kids games/practice. Perhaps some pinks, soft lavender, greens, and blues, the occasional spark of bolder color. Taking work calls while waiting in the grocery line. There could be some FABULOUS word art/snippets, current culture quotes, etc.
