Hi friends, Mandak of Nibbles Skribbles stepping in today while Toiny takes a weekend for her family, for her son Christian and for herself! The last few weeks our house has been filled with sick – so I was struggling to come up with a worthy personal note – (my life always seems so boring compared to Toiny’s)! So, this is what you get.

If you’re on Instagram, you have probably seen the hashtag #tbt or #throwbackthursday – used to tag a photo that is older. It could be a week, a year, a decade – the idea is just to share an old photo. I am not an avid participator in this, but I do enjoy seeing the photos come through. In my stream, the pictures are usually of my friends’ kids when they were little (and, if you find me posting, it’s probably of my kids when they were littler). This is just where I am in life, and who my friends are. Here are a few examples of possible posts I would make:

OK, so that’s the back story – now, to the real reason I’ve been making fake Instagram posts on a blog. This past week, on Thursday, I’m scrolling through my stream and a picture catches my eye. I’m confused, I’m thrown off, I’m laughing. You see, my mom has posted her first ever throwback photo, complete with hashtag. And, she posted just the kind of photo I would expect to see filling my stream – a photo of her kids when they were little(r). A fun surprise! I didn’t know my mom knew how to find the old pictures on her computer – that’s the kind of thing she always asks me to help her with. So here it is, my mom’s first throwback post.
