I am drawn to blue, like a moth to the flame. Blue draws me, grabs my attention, soothes me. I love blue skies, ocean and jeans. Maybe it’s in my genes. I have blue eyes. I am Dutch, a quarter of our country is below sea level. 50% only a meter above sea level. Sea. Water. Blue.

It’s no wonder then, that I’m in love with Jen’s newest collection: Eunoia. The color alone had me reaching for click. Considering I was shopping for something to scrap Tess’ back-to-school photo’s with, Eunoia turned out to be the perfect choice. Blue for me. School for Tess.

Eunoia [yoo ‘noy uh] comes from the Greek word εὔνοια, meaning “well mind” or “beautiful thinking”. I was thinking of creating a back-to-school kit and also thinking about fall and the two ideas meshed to create Eunoia. Full of rich blues, yellows and browns this collection is great for your back-to-school pages, creative art journal pieces and pages for the creative mind.

I am not an Art Journaling pro. I worry I’ll get it wrong. So silly. There is no wrong in Art Journaling. Still. I worry. I’m also a Virgo, worrying is our middle name. I almost always scrap with templates these days, it takes the worrying away and puts the joy back in scrapbooking. I always feel I get it right, even when I deviate from the template and do my own thing.

I was already in love with the back-to-school pictures Tess & I took yesterday, I’m even more in love with them in my layout using Eunoia.
