Oh springtime! One of my top 4 favorite seasons! There is plenty to love about spring. One of my favorite things to do every morning this time of year is to walk around the yard looking for those buds and bits of green. I keep my eyes on the neighbors garden, filled with tulips, to see when we’ll get the first bits of color. I pull out my pots, till up the garden soil and brush away the debris from around the base of my bushes as I patiently wait until it’s time to plant the flowers. In Minnesota, we have to wait until about mid-May before we put anything new in the ground, or in pots, or they might freeze. This year I ordered some of my plants for curbside pick up in a couple of weeks, and will head to a greenhouse when it’s time (they have been deemed essential, so will be open) for the rest.
I know that spring doesn’t mean flowers and blossoms to all. Perhaps it means it’s time for a holiday or trip (Spring Break!), maybe you live where this time of year brings cooler weather and the end of the growing season, maybe you have allergies and you hate spring entirely – whatever spring means to you, we have the goods to scrap it.
